Meeting With God
Meeting With God
Every morning, before the first light of day, I rise at four.
Not because I have to but because He is waiting.
In the silence of the room, while the world is still asleep, I prepare for my meeting with God.
I wash my face, dress neatly, and ready myself as if I were going to the most important meeting of my life , because I am.
I sit down, fold my hands, and pause.
The silence thickens ,it begins to breathe.
And then I know , He is here.
No voice, no sign, just presence.
And in that sacred stillness, my soul knows: God has come.
There, on the inner shore of my heart’s river, He waits for me.
We teach each other silence.
He gives me peace when the world tires me,
inspiration when my thoughts run dry,
strength when my spirit grows weary,
wisdom when I don’t understand,
and understanding when words fall short.
I don’t come to ask , I come to be.
Because when I am with Him, everything else finds its place.
Sometimes He says just one sentence,
and that one sentence carries me through the whole day.
Sometimes He says nothing,
but in the stillness of His presence, everything becomes clear.
And when I leave that riverbank, I know:
He doesn’t stay there , He walks with me.
In every breath, in every thought, in every moment of the day.
And the whole day becomes a continuation of that morning meeting.
The Second Meeting , The Inner View
Sometimes I wonder , does God have a meeting with me too?
Not because I call Him,
but because He is the one who calls first.
Every morning, before I even open my eyes, I feel that He’s already waiting.
He’s there - in my breath, in my heartbeat, in the quiet before the day begins.
Maybe that’s why it’s said: He stands at the door and knocks.
But so often, the door is covered by noise, worries, and thoughts.
Only when everything falls silent can I hear that gentle knock of eternity.
Now I no longer ask where God is.
I know, He is everywhere.
In me, in everyone I meet, in every moment that passes.
And when I come to the river’s edge, I am never the first to arrive.
He is already there.
The water already knows His name,
the air already carries His silence.
Then I ask:
“God, do You also have a meeting with me?”
And deep inside, I hear His answer:
“My child, every morning when you wake up - that is my meeting with you.”
And then I understand, He is not a distant God,
but a Friend.
He doesn’t seek perfection , He seeks closeness.
He doesn’t wait for me to be flawless He waits for me to be honest.
When you realize this, every day becomes sacred.
Every thought - a prayer.
Every encounter - a blessing.
Every silence - a meeting.
A Question for You
I have my meeting with God.
He waits for me every morning, in the quiet dawn, on the shore of my soul.
But what about you?
Do you have your own meeting with God?
Do you know where He’s waiting for you?
Maybe it’s during a walk, in the stillness, in a prayer, in a tear, or in a moment of peace.
What does your meeting with Him look like?
Is it a word, a song, a silence or just the quiet knowing that you are not alone?
Share your experience.
Because when we speak of God, He becomes even more present among us.
And perhaps your story will help someone else find their way to that sacred meeting
the one that changes everything.
